How it all started
Angela Novotny was born on May 30th in Dessau in Saxony-Anhalt and has been the "sunshine" of the happy parents from the start. Although neither of them are musically charged, they quickly recognize the daughter's musical talent. From the age of 6, Angela receives accordion lessons in private lessons and at home. The first learning successes quickly become apparent and Angela has her first "big" appearance and is allowed to play for the local kindergarten children at Mardi Gras. At that time there was no fee, but the performance is rewarded with a free lunch. Whenever visitors come to the Novotny house, Angela is asked by her parents to sing and she quickly gets her nickname “Golden Sparrow”.
It is only a matter of time before Angela is registered at the music school and takes singing and piano. At the age of 11, she got her first amplifier system and an electronic organ from her parents - now Angela practices diligently and seeks confirmation in many appearances. She becomes Germany's youngest solo entertainer, passionately sings songs by Paola, Nicole, Nana Mouskouri - her father drives her from one gig to another and when Angela can sing, she's happy. But school education still comes first.
After graduating from high school, Angela began studying at the “Felix-Mendelssohn Bartholdy” music college in Leipzig and successfully completed her state examination and singing diploma in 1987. Her career is progressing quickly, her first appearances, concerts, television appearances and foreign guest appearances take her to Poland, the Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, and she is already singing her own songs. This could have continued unchanged - but the political turnaround in the country gives Angela, like many other artists, some legs and she too has to start all over again.
Angela meets her current husband on a guest performance in Poland and since both are typical "twins", they quickly set new goals. In 1989 her son Florian was born, Angela was in good hands with the small family, and quickly returned to the stage, enjoying every free minute with her child and husband. Florian inherited two great talents: The voice of mom and the love of cooking from his father. From the idea of later combining her two professions as a singer and chef, Germany's first music hotel emerges - the “Goldener Spatz music hotel“In her hometown Jeßnitz in Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to many concerts that she gives here, she also offers other artist colleagues a stage again and the guests see programs of different colors.
Angela Novotny is always working on her career and is writing her own songs again, which she soon puts on CD. With the title “You are everything I've got” she wins a TV show on MDR television, receives an invitation in “Achim's Hit Parade” and is quickly a welcome guest on various TV shows. More CDs and music productions followed and Angela Novotny quickly reached the hearts of the listeners with her deep, warm alto voice. In the TV show “Musik für Sie” she stands alongside big stars like Bernhard Brink and Bonny Tyler on stage and can enjoy this great performance in front of a home audience with long-lasting applause.

It is Bata Illic who unexpectedly establishes an artistic contact with one of the country's greatest hit writers and producers - Francesco Bruletti (artistic discoverer of Drafi Deutscher), who has already made hits for Brunner and Brunner, Gaby Baginsky, Mirelle Mathieu, Bernhard Brink and many others wrote. He recognizes the "special" in her voice and writes songs with beautiful, sensitive melodies for Angela and it goes together. The first joint production “Every night has a star” not only touches Angela, who dedicates this song to a blind, loyal fan, but, contrary to many rhythmically emphasized songs, reaches the hearts of the audience. After great placements in the charts, Angela won the TV hit parade of the German Schlagerverband ADS / SMAGO and MP-TV several times with this title and in 2009 received the association's media award for best singer.
This is followed by other Bruletti songs such as "The roses bloom again in Piraeus", "When the soul cries at night", "Sing the world a song", "Light in this night", "Summer rain", .... In March 2011, the track "Fremde Augen" started in the charts and made the unbelievable start from zero to one in the top 15 charts of the NDR Radio Niedersachsen charts. For another 7 weeks, the track was always in the top four alongside all the big ones In July 2011 the invitation to the summer hit parade of NDR television followed and Angela achieved a sensational 2nd place! The next successful songs are not long in coming and almost all the titles on the album "Herzenswunsch" are in the hit charts Angela Novotny was in the charts for 14 weeks in 2014 with the single "Nie mehr" alone.
Even at home in Saxony-Anhalt, Angela wins the hit parade of MDR 1 Radio Saxony-Anhalt. Numerous concerts and performances are now on the agenda, invitations to Austria and thousands of car kilometers are on the agenda again. Angela was already back in the studio and producing new songs - Francesco Bruletti is by her side and the new title “Herz wo wuld go” is full of emotion as always - the team eagerly awaits the start in the charts.
